Vice President of Preclinical Programs

Dan McCoy is our Vice President of Preclinical Programs at Avista. He earned his Ph.D. in Molecular Biology at the University of Southern California, specializing in somatosensation and pain. Since then, he has worked in a number of startup to large pharma environments spanning broad therapeutic areas. He has particular expertise in the AAV-based Gene Therapy space having worked in it for the past 8 years.
